After creating ripples with its grand title announcement at Comic-Con through a brilliant teaser, the futuristic sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas makes a splash at Techfest.
Director Nag Ashwin graced the occasion and interacted with the IIT students. He shared a few interesting aspects of the movie.
The director affirms it’s nearly a 4 to 5 years of journey for Kalki. “Half of the time, I’m thinking I’m doing engineering than filmmaking because everything was done from scratch. It was a great experience.”
Nag Ashwin informs that Kalki is completely different from the previous sci-fi movies, in terms of story and other aspects. “The story is set in a whole separate world of its own. And also, in the international sense also, I think it’s new because we had never seen India in a future setting. We don’t have to always look at New York or London for heroes being born there, now we can see our cities also.”
The director affirms the release date of the movie will be revealed soon.
