The "Kalki 2898 AD" team has yet to make an announcement regarding the postponement following the parliament and Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
The elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will be held on May 13th, exactly four days after the scheduled release date of May 9th.
According to insider information, some members of the "Kalki 2898 AD" team want to maintain the same release date.
They believe that the film will lose money for only one day and then will have a long run. Summer holiday period should be used, they said.
But the other section believes that the entire mood in Andhra Pradesh will be based on polls rather than films. They argue that it will also suffer collections during the first two or three days as well.
The team is now considering what to do. Clarity on the release date or postponement will be provided within two or three days.
