Director Nag Ashwin's recently released sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD is on track to become a box-office juggernaut.
Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, the film opened to a thunderous start.
Despite witnessing nearly a 60 per cent drop in collections on Monday, it still managed to rake in a significant amount on its fifth day.
According to Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD maintained a strong hold in its Hindi version, collecting Rs 16.5 crore.
The Telugu version also posted impressive numbers, bringing in Rs 14.5 crore.
The film's Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions earned Rs 2 crore, Rs 0.3 crore, and Rs 1.3 crore, respectively.
The total five-day collections now stand at Rs 343.6 crore, with Telugu contributing Rs 182 crore, Tamil Rs 20.3 crore, Hindi Rs 128 crore, Kannada Rs 2.1 crore, and Malayalam Rs 11.2 crore.
The film was made on a reported budget of Rs 600 crore.
