YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to rush to New Delhi, amidst the reports that surfaced in the media that he has cancelled in family vacation trip to London.
Though there was a talk that Jagan might go ahead with his London trip, at least for a few days, in the wake of the interim orders issued by the Telangana high court staying the possible arrest of his cousin and Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy.
But chief secretary K S Jawahar Reddy told reporters that Jagan is going to New Delhi in a couple of days to discuss the pending issues of the state government with the Centre.
“That is why he has cancelled even his London trip,” he said.
He said the chief minister would take up certain issues pertaining to state bifurcation with the Centre.
“Apart from a series of meeting with the Union government secretaries, Jagan is expected to meet top leaders in New Delhi to take some crucial decisions,” the chief secretary said.
Jawahar Reddy refuted the reports in a section of media about the recent visits of the chief minister to New Delhi frequently.
“He is going to New Delhi only to follow up the issues pertaining to the state. Certain issues pertaining to the state bifurcation are coming to a logical conclusion,” he said.
