Two years ahead of the general elections, scheduled to be held in early 2024, chief minister and YSR Congress supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy got himself into the election mode.
If the cabinet meeting held on Monday was any indication, Jagan Mohan Reddy speech to the ministers speaks about his election strategy.
Jagan Mohan Reddy wants all the MPs, MLAs and the MLCs to be in their respective constituencies for the next two years.
Jagan also wanted all the elected members, right from the ward level in the village to the Parliament level, to keep meeting the people, telling them about the progress of the government in the last three years.
He wants the party leaders to carry the progress card of his government, get it stamped by the people.
Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted his party leaders to explain to them the Navarathnalu and the benefits rolled out to them in the last three years.
It is understood that Jagan Mohan Reddy himself would start moving out of his camp office at Tadepalli shortly and carry people along till 2024 general elections.
However, it is not clear when Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to start his tours in the district as Covid 19 is still raising its head in the state though the positive cases are comparatively low in number.
