Wild Dog Base Camp event is not a regular commercial film event. It is conducted in a unique manner with Nagarjuna and his Wild Dog investing a terrorist and then they briefed more about NIA.
The makers of Wild Dog felicitated Raju Sundaram, Vamsi Paidipally, Gawtam Tinnnuri, Naveen Nooli etc. whose films won National Awards.
Saiyami Kher said, “For me, this film is extremely special- as I got an opportunity to work with Nag sir, an opportunity for a girl to do so much action. I’m glad that Solomon and Niranjan Reddy for casting me in Wild Dog.”
Producer Niranjan Reddy said, “When Solomon first narrated me the story, I told him that it’s difficult to make it in Telugu. It appeared to me like an experimental film. But, after Nagarjuna came on board, it became a proper commercial film. An unknown fact is Solomon is 40th debut director to work with Nagarjuna.”
Director Ashishor Solom said, “I congratulate National Award winners. Coming to Wild Dog, I read an article where I came to know that NIA undertook biggest operation. From 2007 to 2013, as many as 17 blasts happened in which hundreds have died. Central government handed over the case to NIA. It’s about how the group of 5 officers risking their lives, did this deadly undercover operation, so that this country can be at peace. I thank Nag sir and Niranjan for having faith and trust in me.”
Thaman said, “Wild Dog was like cloud burst for me. It’s a very big surprise package for me. I fell in love with the whole concept. This is the best ever look of Nagarjuna. It’s a dream come true for me to work with him in this film.”
Nagarjuna said, “What I liked the most about this character ACP Vijay Varma was he is a good human being, good husband, good father, good team leader and he does anything if he loves something. He loved India. He is ready to do anything for the country. He is fearless. I too like to be fearless. I like to try new things. I don’t worry much about anything. Doing commercial experiments with new directors and new blood gives new energy.
I’m a kind of person who doesn’t like to repeat similar stories. I was very impressed when Solomon narrated me the story. ACP Vijay Varma is one of the strongest characters in my career. Niranjan Reddy has been doing different films. We did Gaganam together. I did the film with confidence because Niranjan Reddy is the producer. He believed in the story. I and Solomon worked together for Oopiri. He is very clear in his head.
During Covid lockdown, when Niranjan called us to resume shooting, we felt really excited. Work is so important and valuable. What corona taught me was do not think too much about yourselves. Just love your work and you will be successful. We loved every minute of everything we did.”
Nagarjuna also wished all the success for Karthi’s Sulthan releasing on same day.
