Income Tax officials have been conducting searches across various offices in the film industry over the past few days.
Initially, the searches were limited to the residences and offices of Dil Raju and Shirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations, as well as Ravi, Naveen, and Cherry of Mythri Movie Makers.
On Wednesday, the officials expanded their scope, carrying out raids on the homes and offices of managers, key personnel from these companies, and director Sukumar’s residence.
According to the latest reports, Pratap Reddy, a longtime fan of NTR who recently turned financier, has also come under the IT department's scrutiny. His properties are currently being searched.
The IT department suspects large-scale income tax evasion within the film industry.
