Naga Chaitanya’s 23rd movie with Chandoo Mondeti was announced yesterday in a village in Srikakulam, as the team went to meet the fishermen’s family.
They made some interesting revelations about the film’s backdrop. Naga Chaitanya stated that the story is based on a real incident that happened in 2018.
Chandoo Mondeti informed that a local guy readied a story based on the incident and they were working on the script for the last couple of years.
Producer Bunny Vas revealed more about the story saying the aforesaid incident moved Delhi in India and shook Karachi in Pakistan.
Seems like this story is based on a shocking incident happened in 2018. Every year, fishermen from coastal Andhra go to Gujarat to work in fishing boats there.
22 people from Andhra ventured into the sea on three boats. The Pakistani authorities had arrested them and taken them to Karachi. They had spent about 13 months in captivity.
Director Chandoo Mondeti is said to have prepared a beautiful love story based on this incident.
Naga Chaitanya is doing his homework to play a fisherman character in the movie.
Today, he along with his director Chandoo Mondeti and producer Bunny Vas ventured into the sea in Vizag and interacted with fishermen.
