Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja have purchased Mumbai’s iconic Rhythm House for Rs 47.8 crore, according to Bloomberg.
The 3,600-square-foot music store, which closed in 2018 after previous owner Nirav Modi defaulted on loans, was originally bought by Modi for Rs 32 crore in 2017.
Sonam and Anand’s Bhaane Group made the purchase weeks after Anand's father bought a London property for Rs 231.4 crore.
Established in 1940, Rhythm House has hosted stars like Pandit Ravi Shankar and Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson.
Sonam was also recently announced as the face of luxury brand Dior.
