Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda grand pre-release event was held today with Allu Arjun and SS Rajamouli gracing the occasion as chief guests. The event also saw few other guests.
SS Rajamouli said, “Starting from December 2nd, all theatres will see houseful boards. The film will bring happiness to people of Telugus in AP, TS and worldwide. Balayya Babu is an atom bomb and Boyapati Srinu knows how to use this atom bomb. I know what we saw in promotional content is just a small thing, as there will be much more to watch in theatres. Like all of you, I’m also waiting eagerly to see first dayu first show of Akhanda in theatres. I wish Akhanda will become a big hit and bring new energy to industry.”
Thaman said, “We are in the trance of Lord Shiva, since we started this movie. Balakrishna is Lord Siva of the industry. If Balakrishna is a transformer, Boyapati gives perfect voltage power to this transformer. My career began with Bhairava Dweepam.”
Gopichand Malineni who will be directing Balakrishna’s next movie said, “NBK is a vibration, it’s an energy. Balayya is a mass god. I came here as Balakrishna’s fan. I was in lock-up for the fight for Samara Simha Reddy tickets in Ongole. Boyapati knows the mass pulse. The two films in their combination were huge blockbusters. Akhanda will become much bigger hit. After 1st lockdown, Krack became big hit and now after second lockdown, Akhanda will become biggest hit.”
Boyapati Srinu said, “I know how good films are received. After Simha, Legend, it’s Akhanda now. It’s our hat-trick film in our combination. There is no need to talk specially about Balakrishna, you will see his energy in theatres. I’m the reason for Balakrishna’s injury. He got injured while doing stretches to relieve body pains which are usually developed after heavy rehearsals. He didn’t postpone and was ready for the shoot from very next day. That is Balayya.”
Allu Arjun said, “Nandamuri and Allu family’s bonding is there since the days of Balakrishna’s father NTR and my grandson Allu Ramalingaiah worked together. I’ve grown up watching movies of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. I feel happy and it’s a sweet moment for me to attend the event. Balakrishna is like a father figure in seniority. I know Boyapati, before he became a director. He narrated me Bhadra story, but I had to do Arya then. I have been observing his journey since he was an asst director. We delivered such a big hit.
I can’t say much about Balayya and Boyapati’s combination. It started with Simha, then it went another level with Legend and it will be unstoppable with Akhanda. Thaman is in wonderful form. I wish this film will become Akhandamaina hit. I know the pain of producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy was going through, as a son of a producer. Pragya Jaiswal, I know her for long. She’s very hard working, disciplined and talented girl. I wish Srikanth will see new era with Akhanda. I’ll tell one thing about Balakrishna, he has become a star because of two reasons. The addiction he has on films and the diction. No one utters dialogues like him. He maintains same intensity even when he mouths lengthy dialogues. After NTR, Balakrishna could utter dialogues with such intensity. There is no exaggeration in it.
There is always soft corner for small films. But OTT and satellite business are saving small films. But due to covid, big films are facing troubles. Everyone is saying that cinema should win. After 2nd lockdown, this is the big film hitting the screens. I wish this will give light to entire industry like Akhanda jyithi. I wish Pushpa and RRR too will become big hits.”
Balakrishna said, “I have been doing talk show for Aha. He’s son of my brother Allu Aravind. I feel happy to have him here for the pre-release. I also thank India’s top director SS Rajamouli. Like how I started doing a talk show, as I know many things, I should start a Bhakti channel. I wish our film Akhanda will have the blessings of Lord Shiva.
Akhanda was started almost 20 months ago. It’s finally releasing on December 2nd. I wish all other films releasing after Akhanda too will become big hits. Alu Arjun’s Pushpa is coming, then Rajamouli’s RRR with thammudu Ram Charan and mana Jr NTR is coming. Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is the other big film releasing soon.
I wish both the governments will extend their support for the film industry. I will next be doing films with Gopichand Malineni and Anil Ravipudi. I will put same efforts for every film I do.”
