Sameera Reddy has transformed from "Sexy Sam" to "Messy Mama," using social media to promote body positivity and openly address taboo topics.
A mother of two, Sameera's social media handle is a refreshing space from the usually pretentious virtual world, where she flaunts her flabs and grey hair.
Sameera's journey of self-acceptance started after a postpartum breakdown, when she felt isolated and received negative messages from society and social media.
Her goal was to reach out to others going through the same struggles and show them they are not alone.
Sameera was once advised to get corrective surgery, but she chose not to and is grateful for that decision. However, she supports individuals who choose to do so and feels the perception has changed today.
"I think there was a crazy phase about 10 years ago where everybody was getting plastic surgery, boob job, change nose, bone structure. I had to always pad my chest and was told to get a boob job done. Many times, I would think, *Should I? Is this the norm?* because it was so openly spoken about and as an actor I questioned if I had to do it. But I didn*t and I am so grateful to God I didn*t because today I wouldn*t have been comfortable about it. But that being said there are many people who choose corrective surgery and it is their choice. If it makes them happy, I say live and let live who are we to judge."
Sameera is the face of Westside's Limitless campaign, which advocates for body positivity and inclusivity, and she is thrilled to be a part of it.
Sameera will be a podcast host and will discuss sex and pleasure, a topic often considered taboo. She believes it's important to normalize this conversation, starting at home, and expose people of all ages to good information.
