Megastar Chiranjeevi was supposed to grace the pre-release event of Keerthy Suresh starrer Good Luck Sakhi. But as he was tested positive for Covid, Ram Charan came as the chief guest for the event.
Director Nagesh Kukunoor who’s a Telugu guy and made films like Hyderabad, Iqbal etc. is making his Telugu debut with this movie.
“It took these many years for me to do a full-fledged Telugu film. Keerthy Suresh is the only reason for me to do this film. As the title suggests, good luck to all of us. Jagapathi Babu and Aadhi are fabulous. We didn’t get much time to spend due to covid, but the true mad man that I had fun working with was Devi Sri Prasad.”
Producer Shravya Varma made a statement that there’s nothing to worry about the safety of women in the industry. She also thanked Devi Sri Prasad for being the backbone of the project.
Producer Sudheer Chandra thanked Devi Sri Prasad and Dil Raju for all their support for the movie.
Keerthy Suresh said she wanted to do a fun film like Good Luck Sakhi, after a serious movie like Mahanati.
“It’s honour to work in Nagesh Kukunoor’s film. After a off beat film like Hyderabad Blues in the beginning, he’s come and done a Telugu film like Good Luck Sakhi. I learnt a lot from him. I did more films with Jagapathi Babu, than any other heroes. Aadhi will be remembered as Goli Raju for long time. He’s one of the sweetest co-stars. We thank our special guest Ram Charan for being here. In such a short notice he’s here. I know how difficult it is as a star for you, but you made it.
You made sensations with one R with Rangasthalam. We’re waiting for RRR. We can’t wait to watch the movie. Big thanks to Chiranjeevi garu. He was supposed to come. We’re missing him here. It’s so nice to see such woman entrepreneur coming and stepping up forward from a stylist to a producer.”
DSP thanked Charan for gracing the event. “Megastar is an an inspiration to all of us. Unfortunately, he’s positive. He called to inform me that Charan will come. I almost got goosebumps. Nagesh sir, it’s pure honour to work with you. We had great fun while working on this project. Keerthy, you simply rocked the film.”
Ram Charan said, “I’m not the chief guest for the event. I came here as a messenger of megastar Chiranjeevi. Sudheer started his career as a distributor and Shravya as a stylist and they have come a long way. I really congratulate them. So many National Award winners worked for this film, which is not a small thing. I’ve been watching Nagesh’s films when I was in my early college days. You’re one of the first persons who introduced international kind of content to Indians. I also inspired watching his movies. Devi is like a torchbearer for the film.
I watched Keerthy Suresh in Agnyaathavaasi. I became a fan of her work, after watching Mahanati. It’s not an easy thing to win a National Award. Good Luck Sakhi is an inspiring story. Such stories should come out.”
