The Corona curve has almost flattened in the nation. The impact of the pandemic is also not frightening. Fatality rate is not disturbing any state.
But AP imposed 50% occupancy in movie theatres and night curfew for quite a long time as a precaution. Several states did the same initially when many suspected that the pandemic would conquer the nation again.
Eventually, looking at the situation the night curfews and 50% occupancies were lifted. There is almost no state in India except AP that is still following night curfew and 50% occupancy. Moreover, the people are not getting the logic of night curfew.
There are many films due for release. The makers are still hesitating to release their films for the reasons of ticket prices and occupancy rules.
Government is yet to release a new GO with revised ticket prices. Makers are now at least expecting full occupancy and a second show to release their films.
Who is going to save Tollywood from this situation? Only time should tell.
