Hindi Audience Slapped Telugu Hero And Director

Hindi Audience Slapped Telugu Hero And Director

This week, the Telugu actor and director received a severe blow from the Hindi audience.

The Hindi remake of Chatrapathi was released yesterday, and the Northern viewers dismissed it as a disappointment due to its outdated storyline and lackluster content.

It's worth noting that the original film, directed by Rajamouli in 2005, had set records. However, VV Vinayak took the directorial reins for this Hindi version.

To everyone's surprise, the Hindi adaptation of Chatrapathi failed to make a significant impact, earning less than 50 lakhs nett.

Despite some promotional efforts to create awareness among the audience, the film lacked the star power to attract viewers.

While it attempted to capture the essence of rural action cinema, it still felt distinctly South Indian in its flavor.

When it comes to successful South Indian films, remakes should be tailored to suit the cultural nuances of the region.

There are exceptions like KGF, which resonated with audiences in certain states due to its cultural significance.

However, Chatrapathi had the typical appearance of a South Indian film, which failed to resonate with the Northern audience.

If Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas had focused on his Telugu career, he would have undoubtedly achieved better box office success instead of facing the embarrassing collection of a mere 50 lakhs nett.
