A report says that Kartik Aryan has been replaced from his much talked about film with Janhvi Kapoor ‘Dostana 2’.
Kartik had joined the star-cast of the film in 2019 however due to the coronavirus pandemic last year the movie got stalled and now the latest update is that the actor is no more associated with the film.
The reason stated behind this decision is a fallout between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan along with the creative differences.
A source close to Dharma productions revealed to ABP News, “Kartik has expressed creative differences over the script of ‘Dostana 2’.
Moreover, his talent agency has not been giving dates for the film and hence the production house has decided to replace the actor.”
The source further adds that, “The reason for Kartik Aaryan to not continue with the film as stated by him is the creative differences after one and a half years and completing over 20 days of the shoot.
This has never happened in the history of Dharma where an actor has walked out of the film for creative issues. Dharma has decided not to work with him in the future."
ABP News tried contacting Kartik & his team, however the actor remained unavailable till this report was filed.
‘Dostana 2’ is being helmed by Collin D Cunha and features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady. The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of TV actor Lakshya Lalwani.
And now it remains to be seen who will replace Kartik in the much-awaited film.
Having recently recovered from COVID-19, Kartik Aaryan wrapped the dubbing of his next movie Dhamaka which is releasing on Netflix.
On work front, Kartik will be seen in horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
