Actress Hema was furious after media channels dragged her name in a drug bust case. She denied any involvement in the case.
The Hyderabad Taskforce police had raided a pub at a five-star hotel in the wee hours of Sunday. The police seized some substances similar to drugs.
More than 140 persons were present in the pub during the time of the raid. Celebrities like Rahul Sipliganj and Niharika Konidela were detained by the police for a few hours.
Media channels also dragged actress Hema’s name in this case.
On Sunday afternoon, Hema went to Banjara Hills police station to lodge a complaint against the media channels for dragging her name without crosschecking the facts.
Hema said she didn’t go to the pub at all.
“Somebody is trying to malign the name. A drug case is not a minor one. I came here to complain against those who are defaming me,” she said.
