Health Bulletin: Kaikala is in critical condition

Veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana was admitted to Apollo hospital in Hyderabad today following fever and drowsiness.

The hospital released a health bulletin in the evening. The bulletin said his condition is critical.

“Prognosis and expected outcome are poor,” the bulletin said. The bulletin also said multi organs have failed. 

The 86-year-old actor, who is part of more than 770 movies, has been facing health issues for a long time.

“Kaikala Satyanarayana, was presented to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, today morning at 7.30 am with fever and drowsiness. He has been on respiratory support and tracheotomy at home following post-Covid sequele. He is in severe septic shock, and multiorgan failure. Team of Doctors attending on him and all efforts are on to restore his condition. The condition is very critical and prognosis and expected outcome is very poor,” the bulletin read.

Kaikala Satyanarayana made his debut in 1959 film Sipayi Kuthuru. He began his career as a villain and also played dupe to the late NT Ramarao.

However, he won great fame for negative roles and character roles in the 1970s and 80s.
