HC Adjourns Jr NTR's Property Dispute Matter

Tollywood actor Junior NTR approached the Telangana High Court challenging an order by the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT).

The actor's plea concerns a 681 square yard property in Jubilee Hills, which he purchased in 2003 from Sunku Gita, unaware that Gita had taken multiple loans from various banks using the property as collateral.

It is reported that Jr NTR cleared the loan amount taken by Sunku Gita from a Chennai-based bank. However, the other banks to which the former landowner still owed money approached the DRT, which ordered the banks to take possession of the property.

Jr NTR approached the DRT against the bank notices, but the Tribunal upheld its order. He then filed a petition in the High Court under general power of attorney (GPA) seeking relief.

NTR contended that his title documents were verified as genuine when compared with the documents held by the banks. However, the Court adjourned the matter to June 6 and issued an order for the submission of relevant documents by June 3.

In response to today's news regarding Mr. NTR, it is clarified that the said property was sold by Mr. NTR in 2013. However, after checking the case details online, it was confirmed that Jr NTR was the petitioner.
