Pooja Hegde has been struggling to find new work in Tollywood after all of her recent films bombed at the box office.
She lost popularity after a string of flops including "Radhe Shyam," "Acharya," and "KKBJ." The filmmakers have abandoned her for future projects.
She also lost out on the role of "Ustaad Bhagat Singh" to Sreeleela.
Many people assumed that Harish Shankar would not consider her for his upcoming films.
Nonetheless, he attempted to cast her in his new film "Mr. Bachchan." Surprisingly, she reportedly demanded more than Rs 3 crore.
The producers were surprised when she did not receive any offers demanding such high pay.
They felt that instead of paying her such a large sum, it would be better to cast a new heroine because Pooja Hegde would not add any value to the project at this time.
As a result, Bhagyashree Borse was cast.
