Amid high expectations, Ram and Puri Jagannadh’s crazy Pan India film Double ISMART will be hitting the screens on August 15th, to cash in double holiday advantage of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.
The movie which is said to be double on every aspect such as mass, action, and entertainment generated a strong buzz with its promotional material.
Meanwhile, the film’s worldwide theatrical rights fetched a huge sum for the makers. Hanu Man makers- K Niranjan Reddy and Smt Chaitanya of PrimeShow Entertainment bought the rights for a whopping amount.
The deal was closed for 60 crores- 54 Cr NRA (Non-Returnable Advance) and 6 Cr Returnable Advance. However, this excludes Hindi rights for the North India zone.
PrimeShow Entertainment will make a 20% commission, after recovering the total investment of 60 Cr.
This shows the confidence of the buyers in the project, though Puri delivered a flop with his last movie Liger.
Puri seems to be making another strong comeback with the movie which is a sequel to the blockbuster iSmart Shankar.
The film’s second single will be dropped today.
