Hansika Motwani Denies Harassment Claims

Actress Hansika Motwani and her mother, Jyoti Motwani, have approached the Bombay High Court to dismiss a criminal case filed by Hansika’s former sister-in-law, Nancy James.

Nancy was married to Hansika’s brother, Prashant, but they separated in 2022.

Nancy accused the Motwanis of cruelty, but Hansika claims this is false and that Nancy is retaliating because she was asked to return Rs 27 lakh given for wedding expenses.

Hansika’s petition, filed by her legal team, says the case is an attempt to pressure her family into a financial settlement in the divorce dispute.

The Motwanis argue the complaint is exaggerated and baseless, meant to involve Hansika unnecessarily.

The complaint was reportedly filed after Nancy refused mutual divorce. Nearly two years later, in 2024, she filed an FIR against the Motwanis with serious charges.

The court has now issued a notice, and the next hearing is scheduled for July 3.
