Growing Demand For 'Chhaava' Telugu Version

Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava continues to dominate the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 within just six days of its release.

By Wednesday, the Vicky Kaushal-starrer earned ₹197.75 crore nett (₹237 crore gross) domestically, with a significant boost from Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti holiday.

Overseas earnings stand at ₹33 crore, bringing the worldwide total to ₹270 crore, with expectations to cross ₹300 crore by Thursday.

Chhaava surpassed Sankranthiki Vasthunam (₹252 crore) to claim the top spot and had previously beaten Sky Force (₹168 crore) to become Bollywood's biggest hit of the year.

Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film received widespread praise from audiences, further driving its success.

There is growing demand from the Telugu market to dub Chhaava into Telugu.

If this happens, it could significantly boost the film’s overall collection, given the strong audience base for historical dramas in southern India.
