GOAT Sees Significant Box Office Drop on Day Two

Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), saw a sharp decline in its box office collections on its second day.

After a strong opening of Rs 44 crore on Thursday, the film earned Rs 24.75 crore nett across all languages in India on day two, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the film's two-day India total to Rs 68.75 crore nett.

On its first day, the Tamil version alone contributed Rs 39 crore, but on day two, Tamil collections dropped to Rs 22 crore.

In the Hindi language, collections fell from Rs 1.85 crore to Rs 1.5 crore, and the Telugu version saw a 50% drop, collecting just Rs 1.5 crore compared to Rs 3 crore on Thursday.

The Tamil version had over 3,000 shows across India, including 1,024 in Chennai, 788 in Bengaluru, 104 in Mumbai, and 69 in the Delhi-NCR region. There were over 700 shows in Telugu and 800 in Hindi.

Despite over 4,500 shows across all languages, the film saw an overall occupancy of 60.38% in Tamil, with most viewers attending night shows. In Hindi, the occupancy was 12.43%, and in Telugu, it stood at 19.53%.
