Nagarjuna Akkineni has officially announced his return as the host of "Bigg Boss Telugu" for its eighth season, set to air later this year. This marks his sixth time hosting the popular reality show on Star Maa.
While NTR Jr hosted the first season and Nani the second, Nagarjuna has been the consistent face of the show since the third season, as other actors have shown less enthusiasm for the role.
Nagarjuna finds hosting "Bigg Boss Telugu" to be a comfortable job, as he doesn’t have to worry about the show's outcome, whether it’s a success or a failure.
His remuneration for hosting is nearly equivalent to, or even greater than, what he earns from acting in films.
Most of Nagarjuna's recent films, where he played the lead role, such as "The Ghost," "Wild Dog," and "Manmadhudu 2," did not perform well commercially.
His films released during the Sankranthi festival, like "Naa Saami Ranga," were among the few that achieved financial success.
Therefore, Nagarjuna has opted to continue hosting "Bigg Boss Telugu," as it offers him financial stability without the pressure of box office results.
