Financier withdraws case against Bellamkonda

The cheating case filed against popular producer Bellamkonda Suresh and his actor-son Srinivas by a financier that created a sensation in the film circles has ended in an anti-climax.

Financier V L Sravan Kumar, who filed the case in Hyderabad Central Crime Station police, quietly withdrew the case on Wednesday.

He said he had withdrawn the case as he had realised that he misunderstood the producer and his son due to a communication gap.

Sravan said there were some mistakes in the accounts that led to the whole confusion. He tendered apology to Bellamkonda Suresh and Srinivas for causing them trouble and trauma.

“The accounts have been cleared and the issues were resolved due to the involvement of some mediators. Now, there is no case against Bellamkonda family,” he said.

In his complaint to the CCS police last week, Sravan alleged that Bellamkonda Suresh and Srinivas had taken Rs 85 Lakhs for a film production during 2018 –2019 and had since been refusing to return the money.

He also alleged that the producer and actor had threatened him when asked about repayment.

The Hyderabad police booked the case against Bellamkonda and his son Srinivas under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 417, 420 (cheating), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Later Bellamkonda alleged that a senior politician from Guntur was behind the case filed against him.

While denying the allegations against him and his son, Bellamkonda said he would expose the political leader behind Shravan Kumar at an appropriate time.
