TDP leaders are notorious for spreading false propaganda on various issues, hoping to deceive the public.
In the 1980s and 1990s, their manipulative tactics worked, largely due to their control over influential media outlets.
During that period, people tended to believe whatever they were told because there were limited sources to verify the facts.
Fast forward to 2023, and the landscape has drastically changed.
Media channels are diverse, and social media platforms provide instant access to information, literally at people's fingertips. With the internet, individuals can fact-check and verify claims within seconds.
In the last 24 hours, TDP leaders began discussing the health of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in Rajamahendravaram central jail.
Initially, they claimed Naidu was suffering from a skin allergy, followed by assertions of dehydration.
Later in the day, they even alleged that Naidu had lost five kilograms of weight due to poor conditions in jail. Their aim seemed to be creating panic among the public regarding Naidu's health.
To amplify their narrative, they wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to look into Chandrababu Naidu’s health and the alleged political vendetta by the AP government. However, by evening, the truth emerged.
Doctors who examined Naidu stated that he is healthy and in good condition. Jail officials even confirmed that Naidu had gained an extra kilogram in weight from the day of his admission.
The question remains: why do TDP leaders persist in using outdated tactics from the 1980s and 1990s to deceive the public when the truth can be easily verified in today's digital age?
