The national media and some regional outlets have reported that Abhishek Bachchan recently broke his silence regarding alleged divorce rumors involving him and Aishwarya Rai.
However, the fact is that his statement was made back in 2016 during the premiere of Aishwarya's film Sarbjit.
When a reporter asked about the alleged clash between the couple, Abhishek replied that he did not need to comment on it.
He also displayed his wedding ring and confirmed that he was "still married" to Aishwarya.
Abhishek said, "I think you all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. But I understand why you do it. You all have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities; we have to take it. Still married, sorry."
Recent reports have mistakenly suggested that Abhishek made these comments after attending Ananth Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding.
At the event, Aishwarya and Aaradhya attended separately while the rest of the Bachchan family, including Abhishek, attended together. This caught the attention of many resulting in media speculations.
Therefore, the fact is that Abhishek did not make any recent statements about his relationship with Aishwarya.
