Prabhas' highly anticipated film "Salaar," originally set to release on September 28th, has been unexpectedly postponed, leaving buyers in shock.
The reason for this delay is reported to be incomplete VFX work, with no confirmed completion date in sight.
This comes as a shock since approximately 500K tickets had already been sold in the USA, necessitating full refunds. Extensive and costly promotional efforts have also gone to waste.
The new release date remains uncertain, adding to Prabhas' challenging times. Postponements typically result in a loss of audience interest to some extent.
Many attribute this situation to the VFX team's inefficiency in meeting deadlines and the director's lack of competence in delivering the first copy in desired time.
Directed by Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, the film features Prabhas, Shruti Hasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Jagapati Babu.
