Exclusive: Dulquer - 'We Are All Slightly Grey'

Dulquer Salman gave an exclusive interview to GreatAndhra as part of the promotions for Lucky Baskhar, and here are a few highlights.

When asked why Telugu star heroes only do one film per year, unlike in Malayalam, Dulquer responded, "In Telugu, the films are bigger, and that could be the reason. Whatever number of films I am doing in a year now is considered below average there, and my father even now is doing five films in a year."

Speaking about Lucky Bhaskar, he said, "It's a balance between good and bad. We didn't glorify any crime in this film. The audience travels with the characters, and they will have a good experience."

When asked if the film is loosely inspired by Harshad Mehta, he said, "That's only a small part of the film. In India, we haven't seen any films in this backdrop except the series Scam 92. In Hollywood, we have many. So this is something new of this sort. I like unpredictable characters, and so I liked doing this."

Answering about the greyish character, he said, "We are all slightly grey inside. A moral grey area is perfectly alright, so everyone would connect."

In response to a light-hearted question, Dulquer remarked that Malayali women have a strong fondness for gold.

It's a pleasant watch to see a conversation with Dulquer Salman.
