Wild Dog media brief took place with Nagarjuna and team addressing media to clarify about release date and platform.
Producer Niranjan Reddy said that Nagarjuna gave them clear instructions that he should not be shown as hero in the film. “It’s Nag sir’s idea to give good importance to the entire team.”
Nagarjuna announced that Wild Dog will be releasing only in theatres on April 2nd.
“Wild Dog shoot was completed by November and theatres were not opened by the time. We doubted whether people will come to theatres, even if they are re-opened. Then, our producers signed a deal with an OTT platform. But, after seeing films like Krack and Uppena becoming super hits, we have decided to release it in theatres. Niranjan Reddy spoke with Netflix officials and they agreed for the film’s theatrical release.”
Nag said he was somehow in depression in lockdown time, but he was fully thrilled when Niranjan Reddy asked him to resume the shoot. Nagarjuna revealed that Wild Dog trailer will be out on March 10th.
Nagarjuna disclosed that the film’s story is based on true incident that took place in Hyderabad.
“The story is about how the team of NIA agents catch the terrorists behind the bomb blast in Hyderabad. It is the story to which every Hyderabadi will relate to. Real weapons were used for authenticity," he said.
