In a recent interview, director Anurag Kashyap recounted bare his personal life, including a memorable incident when he was arrested in Saudi Arabia while drunk and carrying a bag of pork sausages.
On the show "Unfiltered with Samdish," he recounted out the events leading up to the arrest, which occurred after he was unable to take a flight from Denmark due to volcanic ash.
While waiting in the lounge, he consumed wine and passed out on the flight. After being arrested upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, he sent a text to Ronnie Screwala and was eventually allowed to fly with Jet Airways after a three-hour delay caused by an argument with Saudi officials.
In a lighter moment, Anurag also revealed that he had signed up for a dating app but deleted it after seeing his manager and producer Guneet Monga among the profiles.
