As social media is flooded with anguish tweets over the sensational Hyderabad vet’s rape case, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga also took it to the platform to demand justice for the victim.
But what he didn’t expect was the unexpected turn of events when people reacted to his post by calling him a “hypocrite”.
His blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy/Kabir Singh was heavily criticised for the misogyny in the storyline, the recent being when actor Pravathy Thiruvothu calling it out in a discussion that included Arjun Reddy’s lead actor Vijay Devarakonda.

People called him hypocrite, with questions like “It could have been a Kabir Singh who raped Priyanka Reddy, don't you think?” They also asked him to make better movies which don’t play up the male oppressor.
However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga did not respond to any of the comments.
