Dil Raju's Last Attempt for Prices in Telangana

Dil Raju's Last Attempt for Prices in Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has firmly stated that there will be no hike in ticket prices and reiterated the ban on benefit shows.

In contrast, the Andhra Pradesh government has issued special G.O.s permitting a hike in ticket prices for Sankranthi releases, including Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Producer Dil Raju, who is behind two of these productions—Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam—revealed that he is making efforts to persuade Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to reconsider his stance.

"We have requested an increase in ticket rates because Telugu cinema has now achieved global recognition, and production quality has significantly improved due to massive budgets. It is essential for the government to allow a hike in ticket prices for big-budget films," Dil Raju stated.

As the recently appointed chairperson of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, Dil Raju holds a unique position within the government.

While he continues to advocate for increased ticket prices, he clarified that he is not pushing for premiere or benefit shows, focusing solely on addressing ticket pricing for major productions.
