Sai Pallavi is one of the most sought-after actresses in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil. Though her last film Padi Padi Leche Manasu was a flop venture, she is still in demand in all the three film industries.
Rumours are rife that the actress was approached to play the lead role in Vijay Deverakonda's Dear Comrade.
Many reports suggest that Sai Pallavi was considered first to play the female lead in Dear Comrade.
It is reported that Sai Pallavi is uncomfortable doing intimate scene and was reluctant to be part of the sequence. But Rashmika Mandanna had no such issues and when the offer came her way the Geetha Govindam girl grabbed it with both hands.
This was one of the major reasons why she rejected the film almost instantly. Since Sai Pallavi opted out, the makers decided to rope in Rashmika Mandanna to play the female lead.
Director Bharat Kamma's Dear Comrade will release worldwide on July 26 in four languages namely, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
When the trailer of Dear Comrade released, there were many kissing scenes featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda.
