The shooting of Pushpa 2 has been progressing smoothly, with the team avoiding any extended breaks between schedules to ensure they meet the deadline.
Today, the producers announced that the edit for the first half of the film has been locked.
In the same statement, they also revealed that the film has secured over Rs 1000 crore in pre-release business.
No Telugu film has ever achieved such massive pre-release figures, combining both theatrical and non-theatrical deals.
Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, is one of the most anticipated pan-Indian films. The makers reportedly sold the film's OTT rights for more than Rs 200 crore.
Additionally, they claim that its satellite rights and other revenue streams have brought in another Rs 200 crore. According to them, theatrical deals have been closed at Rs 600 crore.
While some believe the Rs 1000 crore figure may be an exaggeration, if true, it would set an all-time record for a Telugu film.
