The pre-release event of Dhanush’s Sir was a grand gala with the entire team gracing it and Trivikram Srinivas was the special guest.
Producer Naga Vamsi sounded very confident about the movie and he stated the tickets for the two premiere shows were sold out within an hour.
Director Venky Atluri started his speech by thanking all his gurus. He said Mani Ratnam and Trivikram are the inspiration for him to direct movies.
“What more can I expect, I’ve directed a film produced by Trivikram sir. I’m living my dream. Nadaswaram is Shiva’s favorite instrument. All the instruments become silent, once Nadaswaram is played. Dhanush is like a Nadaswaram. We can’t see anything, when he appears on the screen.”
Trivikram Srinivas appreciated Venky Atluri for making a movie on Gurus. “He narrated the story during covid, on a zoom call. We thank Dhanush for believing in the story. He took the movie to another level. I watched the movie and loved it completely. The soul of the movie is education and should be free for everyone. A normal person can get worldwide recognition with education.
Sir is made as a period film set in 2000. But it’s still relevant. This movie will stay with us for ages. Dhanush is one of the finest actors of this generation. He enjoys his work. Telugu audience will encourage if the content is good. We are welcoming Dhanush proudly. Let’s shower our love upon him.”
Dhanush said, “I always feel nervous as if its my first film, though I did many movies in Tamil and Hindi. I feel the same nervousness for Sir as well. This is a simple film with grand emotions. It has simple acting, but a grand message. It’s not preachy, but entertaining. People like to watch their own stories on screen. This film is your story. I thank Venky. I thank Trivikram for the warm welcome. It’s so wonderful to see Thaman coming and being part of the promotional event of the film he’s not part of. I like his work in Akhanda. GV, I’m proud of you. I hope you all like and enjoy the film.”
