NTR Jr. and director Koratala Siva had initially aimed to wrap up the shooting of "Devara" by December.
NTR has been fully dedicated to this project, and filming had been progressing at a swift pace. However, there has been a recent slowdown.
NTR has recently signed his first Hindi film, "War 2," directed by Ayan Mukerji.
Initially, the filmmakers planned to commence shooting in January 2024, and NTR was expected to be available by then. Consequently, the production of "Devara" was accelerated.
However, following the lukewarm reception of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3," producer Aditya Chopra decided that significant alterations to the storyline of "War 2" were necessary. This decision also led to a shift in the film's release date from January 2025 to August 2025.
Consequently, the commencement of shooting has been delayed and is now scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024.
With ample time available, the "Devara" team has consequently eased the pace of production.
