Devara Part 1 is NTR's first film following the global success of RRR.
In the United States, the multistarrer RRR grossed nearly $15 million (including the rerelease during Oscar season), making it the highest-grossing film for both NTR and Ram Charan in the North American market.
However, RRR is a different case, with much of its success attributed to director Rajamouli.
The real question is how much NTR can achieve as a solo hero. Devara will be the true test of his individual potential.
So far, the trend is promising. The film has already grossed half a million dollars in pre-sales and became the fastest Indian film to sell 15,000 tickets in the United States. The momentum is strong.
In the U.S., NTR’s previous highest-grossing film made $2.2 million. If Devara receives positive word-of-mouth, it is expected to surpass that amount by the end of its opening weekend.
