Devara 1st Monday Collections: Alarming Drop

Devara 1st Monday Collections: Alarming Drop

Kalki 2898 AD recorded an overall 47.18% Telugu occupancy on Monday, July 1, 2024. This indicates a nearly 50% drop, which is common for any successful film.

In contrast, Devara experienced a decline in collections on its first Monday, with an alarming 24.5% occupancy, resulting in a gross collection of Rs 14.75 crore in all languages put together in India (Telugu: Rs 9.44 crore gross; Hindi: Rs 4.72 crore gross; Kannada: Rs 11.8 lakh gross; Tamil: Rs 35.4 lakh gross; Malayalam: Rs 11.8 lakh gross).

These numbers are not encouraging for a film of this magnitude. Sources suggest that these figures may have been inflated by up to 10%, not reflecting the actual numbers.

On September 30, which happens to be the 1st Monday after the release, the total occupancy percentages of Devara by language were as follows: 24.52% for Telugu, 11.18% for Hindi, 21.12% for Kannada, and 15.36% for Tamil.

Devara features the best of both worlds as South actors like Jr NTR, Prakash Raj have joined hands with Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.

The pre-release hype was immense, but the film may eventually slow down due to the mixed reviews from certain parts of the country.
