This happens to be the year end, month end and he weeknd. The month of December has seen 38 releases out of which only three films scored hits. The Release of 38 films in 31 days is in fact a record.
Adivi Sesh's Hit2 became a hit. Nani as producer and Sailesh Kolanu as the director have seen success.
Though Matti Kusthi, another film that was released on the same day got positive traction, couldn't stand at the theatres. The other films Nenevaru and Jallikattu didn't even stand in discussion.
In the second week, there have been many releases out of which the films like Panchatantram, Gurtunda Seethakalam, Mukhachitram have got some traction.
Though Panchatantram caught the audience emotionally it failed to make a reasonable collection. Satyadev delivered an utter flop with Gurtunda Seethakalam. Mukhachitram from Geeta compound also scored a flop.
On Dec 16th the films like Sasanasabha and Akrosam came along with magnum opus Avatar2. As expected Avatar2 scored a blockbuster in multiplexes, B and C centers.
Then Nayanatara's Connect and Vishal's Lathi have tasted bitter flops. Then came 18 Pages and Dhamala, out of which only Dhamaka scored the success. The film gave a good finishing touch to the year with Sreeleela factor in it.
On the last Friday of the month the films Top Gear, S5, Driver Jamuna, Lucky Lakshman and Rajayoga were released and all the films failed miserably.
Out of 38 films released in this month only three films- Hit2, Avatar2 and Dhamaka stood up as hits.
