The trend of Telugu films premiering on OTT platforms with additional footage is growing.
Pushpa 2 was released on Netflix with a reloaded version that included over 20 minutes of additional sequences not seen in the theatrical release.
Similarly, Daaku Maharaaj will debut on OTT next week with an extra song that wasn’t part of the theatrical version.

While it collected decent revenue in Andhra and the USA, it underperformed in Nizam and Rayalaseema.
Although the initial collections were promising, they dropped significantly after the release of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.
The Hindi version, which recently hit theaters, also failed to make an impact. It remains to be seen how the film will be received on Netflix.
