The success celebrations of Daaku Maharaaj were recently held in Anantapur, despite the film still struggling to break even in the Ceded region.
The Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer has barely managed to reach the break-even point in other regions as well.
Meanwhile, the film was released in Hindi this Friday.
The makers remain hopeful that the film, primarily set in North India, will resonate with Hindi audiences. However, the first-day collections for the Hindi version have been dismal, with almost no footfall.
Although the film was screened in major multiplexes across North India, the openings have been minimal.
It remains to be seen whether the film gains momentum over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
