The film "Skanda" was released on Thursday to capitalize on the long weekend and two national holidays.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film had a huge opening on Thursday, thanks to the reputation of Boyapati and Ram Pothineni.
However, collections dropped dramatically on Friday, the second day, due to mixed reviews and negative word-of-mouth. Nevertheless, there wasn't a significant decline on Saturday.
The film must maintain its strength today and tomorrow, as Monday is Gandhi Jayanthi, and the film may perform well due to the holiday. The film's true test will be on Tuesday.
The current trend is not encouraging. If the film performs well in the next two days, the distributors hope to reduce their losses.
