Copy Controversy is Helping Devara

Despite facing accusations of plagiarism regarding a Sri Lankan song, the "Devara" team is delighted that the debate is benefiting the film.

Recently, the second single, "Chuttamalle," was released and, despite receiving mixed reviews and claims of a plagiarized tune, the song is currently popular on social media and YouTube.

The song has already surpassed 40 million views. It is evident that the music is receiving significant attention due to the ongoing debate about its resemblance to another melody.

The song appears to have drawn inspiration from the Sri Lankan composition "Manike Mage Hithe," created by Chamath Sangeeth and performed by Yohani.

Chamath Sangeeth expressed his satisfaction on Instagram, stating that his song "Manike Mage Hithe" has served as an inspiration for Anirudh Ravichander to create something similar.

The creators of "Devara" are capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the film and are delighted that the song is currently gaining popularity.
