Released amidst good expectations, Santosh Sobhan and Malvika Nair’s wholesome family entertainer Anni Manchi Sakunamule didn’t do well at the box office.
Directed by Nandini Reddy under Swapna Cinema, the movie recovered its investment through non-theatrical deals.
Amazon Prime Video was the streaming partner and the movie was released on the platform on 17th of this month.
The movie, however, has got a contrasting response on OTT. Right now, it is the top trending movie on Prime.
Those who missed watching Anni Manchi Sakunamule in the theatre are enjoying the wholesome entertainment on the streaming platform.
In fact, the content of the movie appeals more to small-screen audiences.
The entertainment, love story, and feel-good emotions connected well with the families who are glad to see so many senior actors such as Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naresh, Gauthami, Sowcar Janaki, Vasuki etc.
Interestingly, the movie got optimistic reports on social media and the makers are pleased with the response on OTT.
