In the newly released trailer for the upcoming web-series Citadel, Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden play characters who cross paths on a train. However, it turns out that they are not strangers, as both belong to the spy agency known as Citadel.
Interestingly, their memories of being spies and of each other have been erased. Their chance encounter on the train triggers their recollection, leading to an intense sequence of action and a hint of romance.
The trailer features Stanley Tucci as the spymaster who persuades the characters, named Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane on screen, to return to the service of Citadel. The plot revolves around their efforts to foil a villain's plan to establish a new world order.
The trailer highlights Priyanka's character as a fierce and deadly force. Much of the action takes place on a train, which is why the release of the trailer was postponed following the recent train accident in Greece, which claimed the lives of 38 people.
