Nagarjuna and Karthi starred together in Oopiri and since then became very close to each other. As is known, it is Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios that is releasing Karthi’s upcoming film Sardar in Telugu.
Nagarjuna who graced Sardar’s pre-release event as a chief guest stated that he feels proud to be acting as a presenter for the movie.
“I loved the trailer and Karthi too stated that he feels proud of doing this movie. Karthi’s brother Suriya is a superstar. Proving under the shadow of a superstar brother is no easy thing. Chiranjeevi’s brother Pawan Kalyan in Telugu, Shivanna’s brother Puneeth Rajkumar in Kannada, and Suriya’s brother Karthi in Tamil Nadu are the only actors who earned stardom like their elder ones. Karthi became a superstar by doing different movies like Suriya.
Besides speaking fluently in Telugu, Karthi can also sing songs. PS Mithran who previously made Abhimanyudu is a wonderful director. I hope, he made Sardar brilliantly.”
Karthi started his speech by signing Nagarjuna’s evergreen song Kannullo Nee Rupame. Before that he also danced to a song in the movie.
“I feel thrilled that Nagarjuna who’s like my brother is releasing Sardar in Telugu. Sardar is a very special film in my career. For the first time, I played the father and son characters. The character Sardar is a great hero who doesn’t expect anything. The police character will be relatable for this generation. It’s really tough to show two generations in a movie.
PS Mithran made the movie intriguingly. While Abhimanyudu dealt with digital crimes, Sardar will also talk about an important topic that will surprise you for sure. Raashi Khanna, Rajisha and Laila played their parts efficiently. My previous movie Khaidi was released for Diwali and Sardar is also coming for the festival. I hope you will enjoy watching this movie.”
