Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi, who appears to be inching towards the Bharatiya Janata Party big bosses in Delhi, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi for quite some, has got yet another honour from the Centre.
On Friday, Modi included Chiranjeevi as part of the advisory board for the ongoing World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, which will conclude on Sunday. And Chiranjeevi attended a video conference convened by Modi in this regard.
On Saturday, the megastar posted on X: “Thank you Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for this honor. It was indeed a privilege to be part of the Advisory Board for WAVES (World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit) and share my two cents along with other esteemed members.”
He went on to add: “I have no doubts that #WAVES, the brain child of Shri Modi ji will Propel India’s ‘SOFT POWER’ to its deserving heights in the world. Brace for all the Excitement and breaking new grounds very soon!!”
Modi also tweeted that WAVES, the global summit brings together the world of entertainment, creativity and culture.
“The members of the Advisory Board are eminent individuals from different walks of life, who not only reiterated their support but also shared valuable inputs on how to further enhance our efforts to make India a global entertainment hub,” he said.
Apart from Chiranjeevi, the stalwarts in the advisory board areL Amitabh Bachchan, Diljit Dosanjh, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and music maestro AR Rahman.
Beyond the entertainment industry, the Prime Minister also interacted with top business leaders, including Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Mahindra & Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra, among others.
As part of the Waves Summit, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is also launching the Create in India Challenge, Season 1, which will feature several 'challenges' aimed at fostering innovation and creativity.
The Summit has brought together industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators.
