Chiranjeevi once criticized Ram Gopal Varma, saying, “Ram Gopal Varma downsizes someone to elevate someone else. That’s wrong.” But the irony is that Chiranjeevi himself publicly downplayed his grandfather to elevate his own image.
Chiranjeevi stated that his grandfather had two wives at home and was also involved with another woman outside.
"My mother's father's name is Radhakrishna Naidu. He was a resident of Nellore and later settled in Mogalthur. He retired as a State Excise Inspector. He was quite romantic. I have two grandmothers, and whenever he got tired of both, he would go to a third house. That’s how I know about three women in his life—I don’t know if there were four or five. Before I entered the film industry, my family warned me, saying, ‘Don’t take your grandfather as an example.’ And I never did.”
Chiranjeevi also said that his grandfather although was known for his romantic nature, he was also deeply involved in charitable activities. Chiranjeevi claims to have inherited this charitable side from him.
He also shared another amusing aspect of his life, comparing himself to a warden at a ladies' hostel.
"When I am at home, I don’t feel like I’m with my grandchildren—I feel like a hostel warden. There are so many girls in our house. This time, I have asked Charan to have a baby boy", Chiranjeevi said.
Chiranjeevi seems to have expressed his desire for a grandson to carry forward the "Mega" legacy in films. However, he also revealed that Ram Charan loves daughters, which makes him worry that he might have another girl.
On a different note, Chiranjeevi reiterated that he would stay away from politics for the rest of his life. He made this announcement during the pre-release event of Brahma Anandham, stating that he would dedicate his time to the arts.
While some speculate that his meetings with political leaders hint at a political comeback, he clarified that these meetings are solely to seek support for the film industry.
Chiranjeevi also expressed confidence that his brother, Pawan Kalyan, will fulfill his goal of serving the people.
