Chiranjeevi seems to have a strategic motive behind attending pre-release events. Many observed this after watching two recent films—Brahma Anandam and Laila—and questioned why he attended both events.
In Brahma Anandam, there is a reference to Gang Leader in Raghu Babu’s introduction. Additionally, the protagonist Gautam's wall prominently features a poster of Chiranjeevi.
Similarly, in Laila, the villain Abhimanyu Singh’s father is portrayed as a Chiranjeevi fan who names his son Rustum.
The film also includes references to Khaidi, Subhalekha, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, and Punnami Nagu.
Given this in-film branding, many suspect Chiranjeevi deliberately attended both events as a branding strategy.
However, others dismiss this theory, pointing out that he attended Brahma Anandam due to his long-standing friendship with Brahmanandam, and Laila because its producer, Sahu Garapati, is producing Chiranjeevi’s next film with Anil Ravipudi.
While professional and personal reasons are evident, some still believe Chiranjeevi is actively encouraging the inclusion of his legacy in new films as a part of branding strategy.
